The Different Special Types Of Speeches

There are special types of speeches; these speeches are the After Dinner Speech, the Speech of Goodwill, the Speech of Courtesy, the Speech of Welcome, the Speech of Response to a Welcome and the Speech of Farewell.

In the after the dinner speech, the speaker must talk in a clear as well as in attractive way. His or her speech should not be dug along. It is also important to make use of illustrations, humor or comparison and contrast in developing the speech.

In the speech of goodwill, the speaker must start the introduction in a way that it will arouse

curiosity about the institution or about the cause that he or she represents. The speaker should further state his or her proposal that could possibly answer the needs of the audience. It should also be explained in what way that the audience can benefit from the organization he or she represented.

In the speech of courtesy, the speeches are may be in the form of the Speech of Presentation, the Speech of Acceptance and the Speech of Introduction.

In the speech of presentation such as in presenting a prize, a gift or an award, it should be stated why the presentation is being made. The speaker should also express about, the satisfaction that possibly felt by the donor of the presentation.

In the speech of acceptance, it is important for the speaker to express a sincere appreciation with the gift, prize or award the he or she received. After giving thanks, the speaker can now conclude the speech

by accepting the gift gracefully.

In the speech of introduction, the speaker’s first thing to do is to analyze the audience, the occasion and the guest speaker. The speaker should introduce the guest speaker, focusing that the audience must be attentive to him or to her.

In the speech of welcome, it is important that the speaker will go to identify the group or individuals that extend the welcome as well as the individuals or individual that will receive the welcome. The speaker is expected to make a complimentary remarks pertaining to the individuals or individual to be welcomed. Furthermore, the speaker should try to tell the mutual benefit that the ensuing associations can get. Through extending the welcome, the speaker concludes his or her speech.
