Different Boring, Holding, Driving And Sharpening Tools That Are Used In Carpentry

Carpentry needs a lot of devices in order to do the different kinds of work. Among of these devices are the tools that are use for Boring, for Holding as well as for Sharpening.

There are different Boring, Holding and Sharpening Tools that are use in Carpentry. Among of the Boring tools are the Twist Bit, the Drill Bit, the Auger Bit and the Brad Awl.

The Twist Bit is a boring tool that is use to make holes that are needed to install carpentry accessories such as screws, bolts or the nails.

The Drill Bit is a boring tool that is designed

and tempered for the drilling of different holes in the metals.

The Auger Bit is a tool that consists of the twist, the shank and the tang; it is a screw-shaped boring tool.

The Brad Awl is a boring tool that is use to make holes on the wood; to be able to install small screws and nails.

Among of the Holding Tools are the Milter Box, the Vise and the Clamps.

The Miter Box is a holding tool that is use to cut pieces of wood in the right angles. The Miter Box is good for the mitering of the moldings as well as picture frames.

The Vise is a holding tool that is used to be able to

hold the materials in place while the Clamp is a holding tool that is mostly used in the furniture and cabinet making. It is used to be able to hold work together while fastening some pieces of woods.

The Driving tool that is useful for carpentry is the Hammer. This tool is one of the most useful tools that are needed in carpentry. The face of the hammer is used to strike or drive the nail while its opposite side forms a curved claw and is used for pulling out nails.

The sharpening Tools are used to sharpen the different kinds of

tools; among are the Slipstone, the Grindstone, the Whetstone and the Oilstone.

The Slipstone is used for whetting the turning tools as well as gauges. The Grindstone is a sharpening stone that is used for removing the nicks. The Whetstone is also a kind of sharpening stone. This sharpening stone uses water as a lubricant. The Oilstone is a sharpening stone that is used for whetting or for honing the cut edges of different tools using oil as the lubricant.
